Irene Mae French, 82, of Circle, Montana, died of natural causes, on April 22, 2007, at the McCone County Nursing Home in Circle.
She was born in Amery, Wisconsin on June 15, 1924, to parents Edward and Mabel (Sigsworth) Weinsheimer. She grew up in Wisconsin and attended schools there. Irene worked as a secretary in Chicago, Illinois for a short time.
Irene married Louis French in Chicago on October 6, 1951. They later moved to Montana and lived in the Richey area for five years before moving to Brockway, where they lived until her husband's death in 2001.She was a wife and mother raising their five children. Irene was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church. She loved singing and going to church.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband and a granddaughter.
Survivors include three sons, Vernon, Wayne, and Warren French, all of Brockway; two daughters, Laura Bishop of Glendive and Irene Oliva of Chicago, Ill.; eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Assembly of God in Circle and officiated by Rev. Jerrod Williams. Interment will follow at Brockway Cemetery.
