In Memory Of

Irvin Haidle

June 9, 1941 – September 30, 2011

On Sept. 28, Irv, his wife Marilyn, and family friend Abe Scheaffer, were heading to an appointment in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Due to low morning sun glare on the windshield and lack of familiarity with the road, Irv missed a stop sign at an intersection and collided with a flatbed pickup.
While Marilyn and Abe are both recovering nicely from their injuries, the Lord chose to heal Irv completely by taking him home to be with Him on Sept 30. Although we greatly miss him, the family rejoices that he is enjoying the blessed hope and promise of salvation, given to all those who place their faith in the finished work of Christ alone.
Irv´s siblings, children, and grandchildren were able to make it to the hospital before he died. Family meant so much to him, and it was only fitting that the family be with him at the time of his death. Although he had many accomplishments, His faith in Jesus Christ was the most important thing to him, which he lived out in every aspect of his life, impacting the lives of many. God´s peace and comfort has filled his family based on God´s promises, Irv´s example, and experiencing the outpouring of love from people all around the world.
While his death was unexpected, he lived his life in such a way that he has left behind a legacy of faith and hone'sty that will continue to impact his family, friends, and ag business for many years to come.
He is survived by Marilyn, his wife of 49 years, daughter Kim (Scott) Anderson of Billings MT, sons Kevin (Deanne) of Holyoke CO, Daryl (Candi) of Billings, and Dean (Shanna) of Callaway NE, grandchildren Kelvin (Teryn), Britney (Sammy) Higgs, Taylor, Kasey Anderson, Logan Anderson, Tate, Trey, Whitney, Kade, Kelsey, Brett, Nadeema, Uotong, and Nyachay, and great-grandson Asher Higgs. He is also survived by one brother, Lynn (Bonnie), Jeff (Renata), Connor and Tessa, Jerry (Niki), Carson; one sister, Valda (Lyle) Jone's, Lisa (Jason), Jenna Johnston, and Lori Jone's.
The memorial service will be held on December 30th at 11:00 am at the Faith Evangelical Church in Billings, Montana, located at 3145 Sweetwater Drive. There will be a luncheon following, with an informal time of sharing memories. Any questions please call Kim at 406-696-8300.
Memorials are suggested to Fallon Evangelical Church (prairelight.org), Trail's End Ranch Christian Camp (ter.org), or to your choosing.
Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home of Miles City, Montana is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com

Marilyn and Kim- my sweet friends- I am so sorry to hear of Irv’s death. I lost my dad 2 1/2 years ago so my heart goes out to you at this difficult time. Please know I’m praying for you- may our Lord Jesus comfort you and fill you with His peaceful presence. Who knows, maybe he and my dad are laughing together at this very moment with Jesus. I love you– till we see each other again… Sheila Howell

    1 Thessalonians 4
    Believers Who Have Died
13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord´s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

I don’t even know how to begin my message. I know how fleeting life can be, but when it happens to someone who has been such an influence, it seems like a “bad nightmare.” Irvin and Marilyn are such very special people. Irvin was a godly man whose life influenced mine during my junior high and high school years. Irvin and Marilyn were friends to and upheld my parents in prayer when they pastored at the Fallon church. Thank you, Irvin, for your life and legacy. You are now rejoicing with the angels! Marilyn, we are praying for your recovery, and to the Haidle family, please be assured of our prayers.

I was saddened to learn of Irvin’s untimely passing. He was my classmake both in Fallon Grade School as well as Terry High School. He was a friend who always had a smile, a tender heart, and never an unkind word. In later years, I always enjoyed the times we were together, whether a short visit when I was back to Fallon to see my family or our class reunions. I am thankful I was able to share that time with ‘Irv’.

  22. Dave and Naomi Kirstein says

    October 19, 2011 at 10:56 am

We were so saddened to hear of Irv’s accident and Marilyn’s hospitalization. Our thoughts immediately went to the time they opened up space on their ranch so that we had a place to park our mobile home in eastern Montana. Although we left Fallon in 1983, we have always gone back in our memory and felt so honored to have been their neighbors for just a few years. Living on the Haidle ranch was filled with many lessons of how to live generously and with joy in the midst of life’s realities and uncertainties. Irv’s laugh, open heart, generous hand offered us deep treasures that we have carried with us through our lives.
May God’s love be a continual presence as you grieve the loss of your companion on the journey Marilyn. We continue to pray for you and your family.
With deep respect and gratitude for your testimony to life and faith…….Naomi and Dave Kirstein
