Jacqueline Marie Bell, age 71, of Colstrip passed away on October 9, 2024 at Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana. She was born on May 20, 1953, to Peary Hannum and June Kuykendall in Sacramento, California.
Jacqueline grew up in Northern California where she attended grade school in Marysville, CA and later graduated high school in Roundup, Montana. She went on to further her education and obtained her bachelor’s degree at BYU in child development and family relationship (CDFR).
She met the love of her life, Mike, and eventually married on December 8, 1977, in the LDS Idaho Falls Temple. They lived in Billings for a while, and moved to Colstrip in June of 1980, after Mike got a job with Montana Power Company. In Colstrip, she taught seminary and later worked at the Family History Library in Colstrip for over twenty years. In 1988, they welcomed their son Matt Bell when he was just 7 days old. They eventually moved to Billings in 2023 to be closer to the hospital after living in Colstrip for 43 years.
Jacqueline loved making acknowledgement cards for anyone. She also loved crafting Christmas ornaments for various family members and friends. Her son Matt got her hooked on watching soccer when he played as a child, and she continued that love by watching English soccer on TV in her later years.
She is survived by her husband, Mike of Billings; son, Matt of Billings; father, Peary Hannum Sr., sister, Karen (Buck Shot) Foulger-Denson, Cheryl (Dale) Scott; brothers, Perry Hannum Jr., Dennis Hannum; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are mother, June; brother, Cecil; brother-in-law, Scott Foulger.
