In Memory Of

Jamaul Richard Bird, age 32, of Lame Deer

July 10, 1989 – September 18, 2021

On the evening of Saturday September 18,2021 our Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin Jamaul Richard Bird (Motse’eoeve – Sweet Medicine) age 32 of Lame Deer passed from this world to make his journey to Ma’heo’o due to heart failure/Broken Heart at the St. Vincent Hospital in Billings Montana with his sister Kaneisha by his side.

Jamaul was born to Richard Bird and Late Palmeda Fisher on July 10,1989 in Billings, MT.

Jamaul attended high school at St. Labre. While in school he participated in Basketball his Freshman Year.

Jamaul was a Ranch Cowboy he worked for several area ranchers on and off the Northern Cheyenne Reservation and LOVED the sport of RODEO, Saddle Bronc was his favorite event.

He participated in the Saddle Bronc Riding. He won the Rookie Saddle Bronc Riding in Wyola, MT. at the Nick Demontiney Memorial Rodeo.

He also participated in the Indian Relays.

He also participated in the annual Little Bighorn Ride and the Charge at the Little Bighorn Battlefield.

In the mornings before heading out to compete in an event weather it was Rodeo, Relays or Horse Races he would ask to have the Breakfast of Champions which was French Toast, Sausage and Orange Juice.

Jamaul also loved to play and sing at handgames (stickgames) he also won many tournaments through out the US.  To name a few that he has won.

Jamaul is survived by his father Richard (Heather) Bird one and only Sister Kaneisha Bird and her kids SemaJ Bird, Kemba and Jeremy Jr. (Juno) Hiwalker, Neisha Bird and

Odie (OK Corral) Moore.

His daughter Dakira Moore, and his Brother Cayoz (Monica) Fisher and Daughters Kahlani, Kassidy and Son Stephen.

Step Brothers: Todd and Kyler Johns

Grandparents: Llevando “Cowboy” and Phyllis Fisher, Maryann BearComesout Russell, Charlie (Donna) BearComesOut, Michael (Vicky) BearComesOut, and Peter BearComesOut.

Jamaul had numerous friends through out the Rodeo and Racing communities to numerous to mention.

Jamaul is preceded in death by his Mother Palmeda Rose Fisher, Brother Ezra Anson Bird, Uncle Llevando Fisher Jr., Aunt Betty Jo Bird.

Grandparents: Floyd and Louise Fisher, Fletcher Bird, Rudy Miles, Thomas Pretty On Top,

The family would like to thank the Staff and Doctors at the St. Vincent Hospital, Lame Deer IHS and the Doctors and Hospitals in Oklahoma.

    Oh Jamaul…im gonna miss you. You were always so upbeat when i talked with you..all the time! I am so thankful now that we took this picture in Hardin during the handgames, and i went watched you play and sing one last time. Thank you for always being a good nephew to me, and helping me whenever i asked you. I appreciate it. I love you forever, now go to your mamma, and dont look back.
