James Allen Porter, age 72, of Gillette, Wyoming, died Monday, November 17, 2003 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette of natural causes.
James has requested that no services be held on his behalf.
James Allen Porter was born April 9, 1932 the son of Christina (Robach) and Jacob Speidel in Wishek, North Dakota. James was raised and educated in both North Dakota and Wyoming. He married Janet Lyles on March 1, 1974 in Dallas, Texas. James has been an over the road truck driver for over forty years. The last twelve years he worked, he drove for the Powder River Van Division, and Retired two years ago.
James enjoyed search-a-word puzzles, and building models in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Porter of Gillette, Wyoming; Ronald Porter of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Tammy Porter of Gillette, Wyoming; two grandsons: Kent Bubba Proffit Jr., and Bryce Chavers both of Gillette; and two granddaughters: Eldona and Crystal Porter both of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
James was preceded in death by both parents, and two brothers.
