Stephen "Jim" Butler, age 60, of Miles City passed away on Monday, March 30, 2009 at the Friendship Villa Care Center in Miles City after a short battle with cancer.
Jim was born in Billings, Montana on May 4, 1948, the son of James and Betty (Stephenson) Butler. In 1952, the family moved to Miles City where Jim attended special education school for ten years. At the age of 24, he moved into his own apartment.Jim was known as a Great Storyteller, a Philosopher, a Technologist, a Patriot and an avid Cyclist. There was also a Spiritual side to Jim which ensured Love of Family as a Son, Brother, Uncle and Great Uncle and a Love of Nature and her wildlife, especially Eagles. We will miss our opportunities with Jim, but realize he has moved on to his next Adventure.
Jim is survived by his mother, Betty Butler of Miles City, MT; a brother, Bob and wife Jody Butler of Seeley Lake, MT; two sisters: Bettiann and husband Terry Haggard of Castle Rock, CO; and Katy and husband Vernie Harbaugh of Miles City, MT; two nieces, four nephews and seven great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.
