James Kincaid, known as Jim or more often Kincaid, age 78 of Dixon, California passed away on January 1, 2022 of heart failure in the comfort of his daughter’s home in Miles City.
Jim was born on May 8, 1943 to Gerald and Jacquelyn Kincaid in Hollister, California. After graduating from high school, Jim started his carrier in construction and worked his way up to superintendent, kick starting a 47 year career in the construction industry. Jim was married for 25 years and had 2 kids, Travis Kincaid who resides in Fallon, Nevada and Jayme Nelson who resides in Miles City, Montana.
Jim was a fan of many sports! He rodeoed and boxed in his younger days, he loved to golf, became a semi-pro bowler and at retirement took up a passion for fishing the ocean. His most favorite past time is playing poker! He was a loving father and grandfather. He was very interested in the lives of his grandkids and cherished the time he got to spend with them. He was quit a jokester, along with being a kind and caring person.
Jim was preceded in death by his father Gerald Kincaid; stepmother Helen Kincaid; brothers: Gary and George Kincaid; and sisters: June and Sharon Kincaid. He is survived by his son Travis Kincaid; daughter-in-law Tammie Kincaid; daughter Jayme Nelson; son-in-law Jesse Nelson; and his grandkids: Lane and Hunter Giovanetti, Kayla and Reese Kincaid.

So many good times was knowing Kinkaid and hang out with the man vary funny and he would pull jokes the minute he could I thank him for showing me how to striper fish we had good time fishing together also very good poker player I have so many memories that I can’t tell all of them one day we went to go visit he’s friend 2 hrs away so we pulled over and picked up breakfast we both had chorizo and eggs he was driving and I was in passenger I was able to eat my breakfast so we finally got to our destination we both get off and he’s breaking is untouched and I left the passenger door open so after all a dog went in the truck and ate he’s breakfast when he desided to go back and eat he’s breakfast he discovered what happened to he’s breakfast he yields at me from driver side roo roo. Roo roo I responded what he’s like were is my breakfast lol after seeing the mess the dog did behind hes seat it was so funny we could not stop laughing on the way back home he will be miss not only by me but my family he loved my daughter that now both are up in heaven lots off love

Rest easy Kincaid, it was a pleasure meeting you. As Roo mentioned above Kincaid was a true jokester. Too bad I never got to enjoy the bbq’s you and Raul use to have. Thanks for being a good buddy to Raul. I remember the time you, Raul, and myself went to Denny’s in Dixon and then afterwards you had me post up yard sale signs for you on the streets of Dixon. Good times.

Sorry for your loss he was a good man I talked with him every couple of months I’ll never forget him riding to Glendive to play cards he had me stop at the store to buy the dog treats first time afterwards he had them when he jumped in I’ll miss him

I never thought I would have to type this message. Kincaid was a man full of life and truly had a genuine soul. He always talked about the love he had for his kids and how proud he was of his grandkids accomplishments. He did life the way he wanted too. My family and I had a lot of love for Kincaid. Sorry to hear about Jim passing. We were both in the Dixon boat club, and spent many days in Raul Maganas garage hearing his great stories .He was the cashier for the boat clubs breakfast i cooked for and loved to take home any leftover sausage gravy ( his favorite). He was a great guy I’m glad i knew. RIP Jim
