I am so sad to hear of “Jimmy’s” passing. That was how I knew him. He was one of my first friends growing up. Carl and Evelyn and my parents, Bob and Lela Torgrimson, were very close friends, and we did a lot of things together. We used to take car rides on Sundays together. Rest in Peace my old friend.

I loved working with Jim as a volunteer for CCDES. I’ll never forget the upset in 2011, if I recall correctly, when historic rains brought flooding to the county. The National Weather Service was very concerned about Pumpkin Creek at 12 mile and Jim wasn’t having it! We had a good laugh when I brought him a custom magnet that said “Pumpkin Creek!”. I can still hear him saying it. Just one fond memory to share. My condolences to his family.
