In Memory Of

Jamie Lee Pierson, age 37, of Brusett, MT

September 27, 1983 – April 14, 2021

On the evening of April 14, 2021, Jamie Lee Pierson passed away surrounded by her loving family. Jamie was 37 years old.

Born September 27, 1983 to Bill and Janet Ecord, Jamie loved her older brother, Will and sister, Carol. Jamie light-heartedly joked that her parents stopped having kids after her because they created perfection. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting or knowing Jamie can attest that she was right; Jamie was one-of-a-kind.

During her younger years, Jamie called Melstone, MT home, where she graduated high school in 2002. During her senior year, Jamie met the love of her life, best friend, and lifetime partner—Bo Pierson. Bo and Jamie were married August 9, 2003 and were inseparable from that point on. The couple built a life and home on the Missouri River Breaks of Brusett, MT.

Bo and Jamie welcomed their first son, Cash, to the world on November 15, 2004, with younger brother Charley arriving August 11, 2008. With their family complete, Bo and Jamie raised their two cowboys while growing their cattle and horse business. Ranch life suited Jamie, who was unafraid to roll up her sleeves and work alongside Bo and the boys. She was proud of the life they created and the love they shared.
Beautiful outside and in, Jamie had an uproarious sense of humor—it was one of her most endearing qualities. She had an amazing spirit that was infectious and engaging to everyone around her. People were naturally drawn to Jamie’s light, her heart, humor, and kindness.

Jamie also possessed strong convictions, strength of character, and never backed down from a challenge. She was a reliable hand alongside anyone she worked with and a gracious hostess to all who entered her door.

Jamie beamed with pride for Bo and her boys, as evidenced by her never-ending support and involvement in their many activities. She also served on the school board and played an integral role in the Big Dry Roping Club. Additionally, Jamie worked as a medical transcriptionist and medical biller amid her many other commitments. You could always count on Jamie to get the job done, and done well.

Jamie’s unmatched beauty and spirit radiated through the world. She was a dear friend, outstanding mother, amazing sister and daughter, and devoted wife to Bo. The void Jamie has left in this world is too big to ever be filled. She will be cherished, missed, and loved always and forever.

Jamie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Georgia Ecord, Earl Dazey, Carolyn Dazey, and Jim Berry, as well as her best buddy and father-in-law, Mike Pierson.

Jamie is survived by her loving husband, Bo Pierson, sons Cash and Charley, sister Carol Neal (Alan Brownell), brother Will Ecord (Pepper), and parents Bill and Janet Ecord; mother-in-law, Peggy Pierson; three sister-in-law’s, Tacy (Jess) Van Voast, Sami (Rory) Paxson and Jo Pierson (Randy Doyle); one brother-in-law, Kelly (Jodi) Pierson. Jamie was also a beloved aunt to Will Jr., Shiloh, Jack, Kade, Tucker, Colter, Alivia, Huston, and Cora.

Beautifully written! Jamie, you were a wonderful friend and I can’t imagine what life is going to be like without you in it. BBQ’s, camping, the lake, roping club, road trips to basketball games, none of it will ever be the same. My heart is broken. I love you and no words could ever describe how much I’m going to miss you. Hugs to Bo, Cash, Charley and the rest of the family during this time. My heart aches for you all. We love you all and are here for you always….

We have lost a jewel of a woman. Intelligent as she was beautiful, Jamie was a superb match for Bo and up to the task of raising a pair of young cowboys. She brought enthusiasm and creativity into everything she touched. I will always remember her affection for her milk cows, her little dogs, her garden, her home, her friends, and her family. Truly, God must have needed her among His angels.

Mike said Bo couldn’t stay in University because he had to get back to the love of his life, Jamie, Bo’s Queen of Hearts. As you have written, Jamie shared her beautiful heart with Bo, their sons, all the family and everyone who met Jamie. Our hearts are broken with the news of her passing but she is with her grandparents and I know Mike was waiting with a horse saddled for her with plans to have her bedazzle heaven. Retelling stories of Jamie’s loving heart, limitless generosity, kindness, gratitude, humor, and creativity will help us carry on with her memory close to our hearts. This way we will continue to share her love for every living thing and everyone, especially Bo, Cash and Charlie, to create beauty in the world, and to have adventures with family and friends at the ranch, in the mountains, around the lake, and in the arena.

Bill, Janet, will, Carol, Bo, Cash, Charley. I came home from work tonight and saw this posting about Jamie on Facebook, and at first I was in such disbelief and thought it was some bad joke. And then I read the obituary and realized that this was a very sad truth. I called my sister Penny, and she told me that it was true. I want to express to you from the bottom of my heart of how sorry I am, Jamie and I had developed a relationship over the last seven years through email, Facebook and even phone call a few years back. She was so very proud of all of her family, and especially her children. Such a talented young woman with her photography that so many of us admired.
.She was a beautiful, talented and loving niece to me, and that is how I will always remember her.
I wished I could be at her funeral to give my loving wishes to all of you!
Thinking of you from Tucson Arizona!
