In Memory Of

Jamie M. Peters

August 6, 1968 – August 1, 2011

Jamie Moore Peters life on earth ended August 1st, 2011, when he went to join his family and friends in heaven.

Jamie was born August 6th, 1968 to Gordon and Kathy Peters. Jamie loved spending time with his family and friends. He treasured the many hunting and fishing trips he took with his dad, and brothers, sons, and nephews.

Jamie was well known for playing practical jokes and his sarcastic sense of humor was part of his quick witted personality. Jaime followed in his grandfather, dads, and uncles footsteps enjoying his career in construction operating heavy equipment.

Jamie is preceded in death by his mother, Kathy, and grandfather, Raymond Peters.Survivors include: His father, Gordon; Sons: Jordan, Gage, Gabe, and Tristen; Daughter: Vanessa; Brothers: Jim (Twila), John (Tina Camrud), Justin (Marcie), Jacob (Andrea), and Jesse; numerous nieces, nephews and special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. A luncheon will be held Friday, August 5th at the VFW from 2pm to 5pm.

Letting Go
The Angels gathered near your bed, So very close to you.
For they knew the pain and suffering, That you were going through.
I thought about so many things, As I held on tightly to your hand.
Oh, how I wished that you were here, String and happy again.
But your eyes were looking homeward, to that place beyond the sky.
Where Jesus held his outstretched aim, It was time to say goodbye.
I struggled with my selfish thoughts, For I wanted you to stay.
So we could walk and talk again, Like we did just yesterday.
But Jesus knew the answer, And I knew he loved you so.
So I gave to you life´s greatest gift, the gift of letting go.

We both have seperate, but good memories of Jamie. Angela (Hedges then) grew up in the neighborhood as Jamie and his brothers. And I grew up knowing him as one of my crazy cousins. We are sorry that we will not be able to be there, but you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Love you all, The Benjamins

Jamie touched my life briefly a few years ago–more than you other men of the Peters family, though I also felt like I knew Justin pretty well at one time.
He seemed quite sincere and I wish that he had asked me to do more for him. I wish you all the best. Without knowing much of the feelings involved, Gordon, I know that people always told me that losing one of your children was the very hardest thing that could happen to a person and I believe that. I am so sorry for your loss.
    Sincerely, Lance

Gordy and Family, My heart is breaking with this horrible news. I will always remember Jamie as being a great equipment operator who I really enjoyed working with. He was a hard worker with a smile that could make a dark day brighten right up. You and the family, children especially. will be in my thoughts and prayers. With love and blessings, Julie

So sorry to hear about your loss. Jamie and I were friends a long time ago when we both worked at the old Buttreys Store together. It saddens me to hear of his passing but the fond memories I have will keep him alive in my heart forever. He was a very nice person who could always bring a smile to a persons face. I remember a lot of fun times with Jamie. Keep all of the memories close to your heart and hopefully that will make this time easier. My heart goes out to you all. Again, I can’t stress what a wonderful person Jamie was.
    As Always

I’m sorry. I just found out about Jamie’s death. I’m kind-of shocked. He was my age and I had him in my class for part of a year at Sacred Heart and also at Lincoln. He was crass and comical at times and there were times he pushed the teachers’ buttons…but you know what? I LIKED that about Jamie!
I offer my sincere, though late, condolences to all of Jamies’ family and dear friends. I am sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.
