Wow, what a shock. Janet has been our neighbor for many years. We could not have asked for a better neighbor. She was always there to visit with. A more kind hearted person you will not find. Janet was truly a person that would give you the shirt off her back. One funny story about Janet. We could not figure out why our dog continued to gain weight. He needed to lose or at least maintain his weight. Well one day we finally figured out why he wasn’t losing. Caught Janet by the fence feeding him bacon. She would fry bacon for him every day just so he would have a treat from her. A great person.
Gloria says

Janet was a shining light in a sometimes dismal world. She was “real” and you always knew she truly did care about things because she wasn’t afraid to speak what she thought. More than speaking, Janet was always willing to lend a hand to help others. The world would be a better place if we could all be more like her. To say that she will be missed is an understatement. Our condolences to her family.

I was so saddened this morning to hear that Janet had passed away. As so many have written here, I loved visiting with her at Walmart each time I was fortunate enough to see her. She often mentioned her family. She was so pleased that everyone got together last summer and excited that you were going to try to do that every summer, rather than having anyone on the bad roads during the holidays. It will honor her memory if you all can manage to gather as often as you can. I am so sorry for your loss. May it comfort you to know that she rests now with the angels. God bless.
