Our beloved husband, dad, papa, uncle, son, and brother… Jason Lee Fisher, Ma’xemeo’o “Big Road” made his journey to the other camp on January 12, 2021 at 4:45 AM with his loving wife by his side.
Jason was born on July 27, 1967 to Lucy Spang and Jerry Fisher in Torrance, California. He was a proud member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe. Jason attended several schools and graduated from St. Labre in 1984. He was always a working man, he had plenty of jobs, mostly pertaining in the helping and caring of others. Jason “77” had the most outrageous and funny stories of being a police officer. He was a proud member of the Boilermaker Local 11-East Helena, MT becoming an excellent welder.
After years apart he rekindled his love with LaRonna Sue Bigback in 2012. He became father to her four daughters, Mokee’e, Sue Sue, Soph and Tiny. Jason always provided and made sure “all his girls” were taken care of.
In April of 2018, Jason contracted H1N1 flu which left him in a coma and on life support for three months. LaRonna never left his side, praying every single day, we witnessed a miracle when he woke in June of 2018. He was left paralyzed on his left side, which he was slowly overcoming.
Jason had a strong testimony of going to such a peaceful and warm loving place, seeing thousands that have gone before, waiting for us all! He expressed his return was to reassure and let others know not to be afraid when they are called home.
Jason was never afraid to try new things or take on new adventures which is proven with the love of many family and friends throughout the states. Denver Bronco fan Forever!
Jason is survived by his wife, LaRonna Sue, his daughters, Tiny (Teri Sioux), Sue Ann, and Sophie (Frank), his pride and joy, his grandson, Dondi “Red Elk” Two Bulls, who he enjoyed teaching him to sing and drum for hours; granddaughter, Kinzlee Bigback whom he helped since she was born; newest grandson, Marshall Creed; mother and father, Ron and Cyndi Bigback Sr. (Which he became part of the Kit Fox Society) Lyric and Memphis; brother-in-law and best friend, Ron Bigback Jr. (Marlow); special nephew, David Jaymez; niece, Sevyea, lifetime friends, Matthew and Karla Johnson, (Kye and Alaina); sister-in-law- Ann Bigback (EJ, D’Ann, Esaun); special cousin, Brian (Edina) Redstar; his children, Nichole (Nick) Nightwalker and her kids, Merlin, Merasia, Justus, and Keeus, Aryn, Colten, Jayson, and Jayden; goddaughter, Lari Beartusk; grandmother, Delma Redneck.
Families, Fisher, Spang, Redneck, Morrison, Littlehead, and Bigback. We apologize if have forgotten to mention you in our time of grief.
Jason is preceded in death by his mother and father; sister, Cindy; beloved daughter, Ronni Jean (Mokee’e in 2018); brother-in-law, Lee J. Bigback in 2014; grandparents, Minnie and Ragsdale (Who raised him); grandmother, Rena; cousin, Gaylord; nephew, Shane and many more relatives.
