Jaunita Holman 74 passed away on April 03, 2005 at Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.
Beverly Jaunita Holman was born December 20, 1930 in Deadwood, South Dakota to Joseph Edward andMathilda Bernice Pugh (Brammer).Jaunitas family moved to Alzada, MT when she was an infant. After the move to Montana the Great Depression hit and the family was forced to move about the country trying to find work from Oklahoma to Portland, OR. She Graduated from Custer County District High School in 1948. After graduating she married Richard Theodore Holman on June 5, 1949 at the Presbyterian Church in Miles City, MT. In 1968 Richard and Jaunita where blessed with their first child Richard Patrick who they adopted, two years later they would adopt their daughter Joleen Marie. Jaunita would always tell people that her children were special because God picked them out specially for her and Richard.
Jaunita worked in the banking community of Miles City until the early seventies. She left banking to be a stay at home mother. During her time as a Stay at home mom she also baby sat. In the late seventies she returned to work as the Manager at St. Vincent De Paul. In 1990 she retired from St Vincent De Paul and worked part time at Taco Johns until her health would not allow her to work anymore.Jauntia and Richard would enjoy 42 great years of marriage together until his death in August of 1991.Jaunita was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, and reading. She loved spending time with her family and friends who loved her dearly.
Jaunita is survived by her children Richard Patrick Holman of Billings, MT; daughterJoleen Marie Brown and her husband Donald of Streamwood, IL; a cousin Billie Harms of Santa Anna, CA; a cousin, Roger H. Pugh of Kinsale, VA; Argaylon King and family of Ekalaka, MT and a half sister Dorothy Allison of Sturgis, SD. She is also survived by her special family Janet Cohenour and her children Bryce, Zach, Courtney, and Shamber of Sydney, MT.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents Joseph and Bernice (Rozell), Pugh and an Aunt Agnes Clark.
A Vigil service will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City. Rite of Committal will follow in the family lot of the Custer County Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com.
