Jay Lennie Strang, age 57, of Forsyth passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Horizon Hospice in Billings, Montana
Jay was born April 12, 1952, the son of David and Ann (Carroll) Strang in Dickinson, North Dakota. He graduated from Forsyth High School in 1971 and joined the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Jay attended a trade school in Sidney, Nebraska where he became an electrician. Jay returned to Forsyth and began working for Western Energy in Colstrip for 27 years. Due to his illness he was forced to retire.He was united in marriage to Marsha Dinius on November 16, 1972 in Forsyth. To this union four children were born, Jeremy, D.J., Jennifer and Sandra.Jay loved fly fishing, oil painting, cooking, motorcycling, music and was a jack-of-all-trades.He is preceded in death by his father David; sister-in-law, Sandy Fitterer and father-in-law, Jerry Dinius.
Jay is survived by his wife Marsha, of 36 years, of Forsyth; his children, Jeremy (Emma) Strang of Pasco, WA., D.J. (Jessica) Strang of Billings, MT., Jennifer (Christopher) Mills of Olathe, KS. and Sandra (Quentin) Kilwien of Billings, MT.; his mother, Ann Hart of Bartley, NE.; his granddaughters, Taylor Mills and Tiana Strang; his brother, David Strang of Scottsbluff, NE.; his sister, Kathy Strang of San Antonio, TX; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Dinius of Forsyth, MT., his sisters-in-law, Wanda (Dennis) Russell of Missoula, MT., Debbie (Leon) Riley of Billings, MT. and Brenda (Craig) Stellmach of Babbit, MN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
