Joyce and families,
When I think of Jean I think of fresh bread on Sundays, cinnamon rolls, Bible school , and what was the name of her sour dough starter…Herman? She was a good referee for a friendly game of LIFE. She was a wonderful person and will be remembered fondly by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Oh, my. Jean was one of those special people that we remember for the many impressions they made on our lives. During his stays in larger hospitals, Sam often told many a nurse struggling to get an IV started that they needed to “go to Forsyth and have Jean Melle teach you how that is done!” Regardless how sick the patient, she always had a smile and often shared her sweet little chuckle. She walked a deep walk with Her Maker, and delivered her God-given gifts as a healer to everyone she touched. She blessed our family many times. I am so sorry that I cannot be there for her service. Know that I am with you in thoughts and thanksgiving for having known this wonderful woman.

Jean and the Fetter family have a special place in my heart and memories. She boarded at our house when I was little while she was going to nursing school. She got me interested in music and piano lessons. My folks, George and Polly Lee, were friends w her folks. We visited them outside of Miles City and on the ranch in the Crazies. My father and friends went on several hunting trips with Jean’s mother, Hilda, keeping everybody in line! I visited Jean and Clarence in Rosebud for special summer weeks and had great fun w them and some of their neighbors who had six? girls. Jean was a loving, upbeat woman of many talents. You are all fortunate to have had her in your lives.
Donna Bends says
My thought and prayers are with all of you. What a wonderful Christian lady, an excellent nurse, and gracious woman whenever the kids and I stopped to visit. Many great memories of when Ruthie babysat Ryan and Toni for me. She is with the Lord now singing praises. Sorry, I won’t be able to attend services. But will be thinking of you.

Jean was so genuine . Her walk with Christ was how she lived her whole life. I remember the visits we had and no matter what the subject it always included The Lord. She will be missed but I know her family and friends have wonderful memories to cherish.. I know she was a stand-in grandma for my boys and sure there were many others. And though we will miss her she is where she prepared her life for. We can cry for ourselves but rejoice for her.!!

Sorry to hear about Jean passing but she is in the Lords care now. I have only known her a few years but enough to to know she loved her Lord and Savior very much and she lived her life telling all about Him. She always had a smile and kind words to say that would cheer a sad heart up. What a blessed woman to have known. Be sure that you will see her again as long as you serve the Lord she served. Sorry couldn’t make service but be sure my prayers are with the family and all those who were close to her.

Melle family:
I was shocked and saddened to her of Jean’s passing. She always treated everyone in the community with genuine kindness and always had a nice word to say. Having lost my amazing husband Blake this last year and my own father almost 20 years ago, I can well understand the depth of your loss. I know that words of sympathy, no matter how deeply felt, can help much right now, but had to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. My most sincere deepest condolences.
