Glenna Jean Lewis-Cameron was born November 20, 1941, to Adra Delores and Ellis Howard Lewis in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up in Blackfoot, Idaho and Paso Rolbes, California. Jean attended Snake River High School.
In March of 1956 Jean met Mortier Jacob Barrus and after a short courtship they decided to get married on December 14, 1956, in Groveland, Idaho. After Mortier was discharged from the military they moved to Nevada and then Utah. Around Christmas of 1964, the family moved to Butte, Montana, where Mortier worked in the mine. In 1976 the finally decided Forsyth was the best place to call home and have lived in the same house ever since.
Jean was a very talented woman and did many artistic things ranging from crocheting to gardening to arranging flowers, and painting or drawing. Her family meant the world to her. She was always writing to friends and family trying to keep in touch and up to date on the newest family additions and how everybody was doing. The family could always count on her to keep them informed about everybody else. Caring for her family was important in her life and spoiling her grandkids gave her much joy.
Among all the wonderful, loving things Jean was, she was most importantly a woman of her word. She was rewarded with many strong friendships because of this. While working at her family’s shop in Lame Deer, she made many life-long friends that trusted her very dearly.
To this union they welcomed several children: Marty Lin Barrus, Cheryl Linae Stone, Melissa Jean Holliday, Jacqueline Sekona, Mark Jacob Barrus, Deitra Dawn Watschke, Melinae Janiel Morrow, and Matthias Jared Barrus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adra Delores Lewis and Ellis Howard Lewis; siblings: Ellis Howard Jr., Floyd Gerald Cameron Jr., Geraldee Cameron, James Cameron, and Michael Cameron;
daughter, Melissa Jean Holliday; and sons-in-law: Les Arneson, Dwayne Norskog, and Wayne Holliday.
She is survived by her husband, Mortier Barrus; children: Marty Lin Barrus, Cheryl Linae Stone, Jacqueline Sekona, Mark Jacob Barrus, Deitra Dawn Watschke, Melinae Janiel Morrow, and Matthias Jared Barrus; sisters: Ginger Cameron, Marylin Lewis, Dixie Holmberg, and Sharon Flint; and brothers: Charles Cameron, Fred Lewis, and Robert Potter Jr.
