In Memory Of

Jeanne Bing

Funeral Services: A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 25, 2004 at the St. Matthews Church in Gillette, Wyoming

A Celebration of life for Jeanne M. Bing will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 25, 2004 at the St. Matthews Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Hospice Chaplain Paul Kearby and Father Karl Millis officiating.

Jeanne Bing, age 61, of Gillette, Wyoming, died June 21, 2004 at her home in Gillette.

Jeanne Marie Bing was born July 14, 1942 the daughter of Thomas Joseph and Jean Virginia (Campbell) Daley in Boston, Massachusetts. Jeanne was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts where as a child she participated in dance and was a big part of the Catholic Youth Organization. She graduated from high school in 1960. During high school, she worked for the Jordan-Marsh Department Store. Upon her graduation, she became employed at the New England Phone Company and continued to work at the department store part time. In 1963, she married Wesley Levi Cooper II. Two children were born of this union. The couple later divorced. On June 21, 1969, Jeanne married William Kenneth Bing in San Jose, California. While in California, she became active in the Cub Scouts. While living in San Jose, Jeanne started a daycare out of her home. In 1978, the couple moved to Gillette, Wyoming. Here, Jeanne began work for the Campbell County School District, working at Lakeview Elementary School in the lunchroom. This was a reflection of her love for the children as she worked there for 22 years until her retirement in 2002. During the later part of her career, after William retired, Jeanne enjoyed her job that much more as William volunteered at Lakeview in the kitchen cooking and helping with the dishes. This was precious time to Jeanne. William died in 1998 and this was their time in place of their retirement years. On June 21, 2004, Jeanne and William would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary.

Jeanne enjoyed crafts, photo albums, and anything homemade. She loved to collect teddy bears and thimbles, and also traveling. Jeanne got the most out of life by giving rather than receiving and wished to do more so anonymously. She was elated by the birth of her children and they were the joy of her life as were her grandbabies.

She is survived by her mother; Jeanne Daley of Hull and Hingham, Massachusetts; one son, Wesley Cooper of Gillette, Wyoming; one daughter, Kelly (Scott) Salveson of Melbourne, Florida; one stepdaughter, Robin Bing Hernandez of San Jose, California; her mother-in-law, Trula Venton of Gillette, Wyoming; one brother, Thomas Daley of Townsend, Massachusetts; and two sisters, Karen Risso of Hull, Massachusetts and Toby Ann Smith of Phoenix, Arizona, three grandchildren, Tiffany Miller of New Baltimore, Michigan, Tonya Salveson of Melbourne, Florida and Chanel Nilumol of San Jose, California and one great grandchild, Hannah of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; and a very dear friend of four years, William Boyce.

Memorials are suggested to the Campbell County Memorial Hospital Healthcare Foundation or the Friendship House in Massachusetts. Condolences may be sent in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or via the internet at www.stevensonandsons.com.
