Jennifer Rose Seminole, (Vooneme’ehno’e, Morning Star Woman) born March 12, 1979 and died August 24, 2021 at the St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana. As in the Cheyenne custom she carries on one of her grandmother Esther Red Eagle Bell’s Cheyenne name, “ Morning Star Woman”. Jennifer was born to parents Burton Seminole and Philomena American Horse. She was raised in Lame Deer, Montana, attended Lame Deer Public Schools and later completed GED. She is survived by her son Jaden Seminole of Billings, Montana and her siblings Don Allen Lonebear of Lame Deer, MT; Ivene Briggs of Sherman, TX and Joann Seminole of Phoenix, Arizona; and Kevin Whiteman of Gillette, Wyo.
Jennifer was a fun loving and friendly person, always had a smile for everyone. People appreciated her kind spirit and enjoyed being around her. Jennifer enjoyed visiting with her many friends and always happy to be back with family in Lame Deer. Her father died first and soon after her mother died, Jennifer moved to Billings, occasionally coming to visit relatives. She was an independent person so when opportunity came along she moved. She has lived in Billings, Gillette, Wyoming and Fraser, Montana doing various jobs. Where ever she went she made friends. She leaves behind her Cousins, Best Friends and Sisters: Sherron American Horse; Tylonna Walksnice; Leona Bearcomesout; Alexis Hamilton; Zeniada Blackwolf; Denise Russell; Anissa Kellum, Serena Shoulderblade and Tommilynn Bullcoming.
Jennifer now joins other relatives in Seane, where our relatives wait for us. Her parents, two brothers Darrell Whiteman and Percy Whiteman. Paternal grandparents Hubert and Mary Jane (Yellow Eyes) Seminole and Maternal grandparents Mike American Horse and Evelyn Little Mouth.
Jennifer is survived by her father’s family including Mina Seminole, Martin Seminole, Victoria (Michael) Bearcomesout; Leon (Maxine) Seminole; Ambrose (Clementine) Seminole; Donald Seminole and Richard Foote. Paternal relatives include Yelloweyes, Sooktis; Whitedirt; Beatrice Small families Eva Seminole Families; Black Horse; Bright Wings; Birdingound; Wolfname; Glenmore; Onebear and Eaglefeathers.
Maternal family includes Uncle Leonard American Horse; Son Jaden Seminole and brother Kevin Whiteman; extended family includes Trusty; Solis; Gray; Killsontop; Little Mouth; Tallwhiteman; Clubfoot and Gladys Bird family, Whitewolf, Rockroads, Two Moon, Hisbadhorse, Whistling Elk, Roundstone, Birdchief, Redneck, Littlewolf, Tallbull, Red Cherries, Littlehead, Walkslast, Morrison, Spottedelk, Kellum, Whitecrane, Wounded Eye and Limberhand families.
