Our beloved Jerry Hansen, age 43, of Miles City went to be with Jesus on Friday, August 3, 2007 in Billings, Montana after complications from his battle with leukemia.
Jerry was born to Ejner and Carla (Andrus) Hansen on April 13, 1964 in Dillon, Montana. He attended Lima Public Schools and graduated from Montana State University with a degree in agricultural business. He married his best friend, Sheila Carpenter on November 17, 1990 and they moved to Miles City where they ranched and ran a feed lot. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his little cowhands Avery and Hayes, working with his father, refereeing basketball, golfing and spending time with friends.
Jerry leaves behind his loving wife Sheila; his daughters: Avery and Hayes all of Miles City, MT; his parents, Ejner and Carla (Andrus) Hansen of Miles City, MT; his brother: Keith Hansen and his daughter Annie of Phillipsburg, MT; Russ (Nicole) Hansen of Butte, MT; and Steve (Stacy) Hansen and their son Lewis of Rupert, ID; his mother and father-in-law: Dale and Roseann Carpenter of Melrose, MT his brothers-in-law: Dale (Twyla) Carpenter and daughters Sara and Emily of Butte, MT; Travis Carpenter of Butte, MT; and David Carpenter of Melrose, MT; sister-in-law, Sylvia Carpenter and her children Sara, Cassie and George of Butte, MT; and numerous Uncles, Aunts and Cousins.
Jerry was deeply committed to God, his family and friends. He was a special man who brought joy to all who knew him. Words cant express how much I will miss my husband, best friend, our father, son, brother, neighbor and friend. May God bless and keep you, Jerry we love you.
A Vigil service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City. Rite of Committal will follow in the family lot of the Custer County Cemetery. Condolences may be made to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart Church or to the Sacred Heart School.
