Jerry William Gillis, age 73, passed away at his home in Miles City on July 9, 2004.
Jerry was born on April 15, 1931 in Paso Robles, CA to Raymond and Eugenia Gillis. He went to school in California where he graduated from High School. After his discharge from the service, Jerry joined the marine core for over four years, an accomplishment he was very proud of. He worked for Falstad Brewery in San Jose, CA before moving to Hamilton, MT and 1983 he moved to Miles City. In 1991, Jerry purchased the Miles City Trading Co. where he his utilized his love and knowledge of guns, buying and selling them.
Jerry is survived by two daughters; Carol Gillis of Sacramento, CA, Laura Gillis of Kent, WA, one grandchild and his companion Bridgett Yother of Miles City, MT. His parents and his brother Tom preceded him in death.
