Funeral services: Friday, April 8, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry.
Interment: Cremation will follow and a celebration of life will take place for family and friends at a later date in Waynesboro, Virginia.
Jerry Ivan Jake Hagwood, age 65, of Terry, Montana formerly of Waynesboro, Virginia went to the Big ranch in the sky. Jerry died on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Holy Rosary Health Center in Miles City where he had been a patient since March 31, 2005.
Jerry was born on August 16, 1939 in Waynesboro, Virginia, the son of Troy I. and Elizabeth H. Hagwood. Jerry was the original cowboy with a big heart who loved his family, friends and the wide open spaces. He was owner of Red Hawk Enterprises. A License Equestrian who Transported horses throughout the United States and Canada. Jerry was a great animal lover and an advocate of Animal Protection Rights. He retired and moved to Terry Montana in May of 2001. The best part of a persons life is not his fame, wealth, or ability. The best part of Jakes life was the little nameless, unremembered acts of kindness he gave to others. Amen.
Jerry is survived by one daughter, Teresa Hagwood Kinzie and her husband Lawrence of Dillwyn, Virginia; one son, Thomas Allen Hagwood and one grandson Troy Allen Hagwood of Reno, Nevada; one sister, JoAnn Hagwood McClamroch and her husband Donal L. of Waynesboro, Virginia; two brothers: Troy Douglas Hagwood and wife Naomi of Waynesboro, Virginia; Jack L. Hagwood and his wife Debby of Manassas, Virginia. He is also survived by many relatives and friends in the Waynesboro, Virginia Community.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Elizabeth Hagwood.
