In Memory Of

Jesse Blanchard, age 42, of Miles City

April 5, 1981 – December 29, 2023

Jesse Thomas Blanchard passed away on December 29th, 2023, at his residence in Miles City, Montana, at the age of 42.

Jesse was born in Concord, New Hampshire on April 5, 1981. Even though there isn’t enough paper in all the world to fully explain what an amazing man Jesse was, here is a short summary of a light that sadly was taken from all of us. He was the youngest of 5 children, Jesse was the son of Dana Blanchard and Marilyn Stafford. Jesse grew up in New Hampshire until he was 12 when he moved to Montana. He became a father at the young age of 16 years old to Lanea Kohones. Jesse traveled to Arizona, Missouri, and Massachusetts. Shortly after he returned to Montana and became a father again to Sophie Blanchard in 2010. He was an amazing father and loved his girls more than anything in this world. He spent the next 10 years working at Walmart and taking care of Sophie. In 2018 he became a grandpa to Khloe Ramirez and she brightened his life that much more. He cherished his grandbabies, they brought him so much joy.

Jesse met the love of his life, Nakitta Blanchard, and her girls, in 2018. They got married in 2021, making him a bonus dad to Arianna Fast Horse and Hallie Brown. He also became a grandpa again in late 2021.

He spent his time on earth doing everything he loved, from various activities on the property at Moon Creek to hunting, fishing, working horses, cooking, camping, and spending time with his family.

Jesse was preceded in death by his Mom Marilyn Stafford; Dad Dana Blanchard; Uncle Vic Emeny; Brother Jae Blanchard; and Grandparents Robert and Marilyn Blanchard.
Jesse is survived by his daughters Lanea Kohones (Christopher Ramirez) and Sophie Blanchard; bonus daughters Arianna Fast Horse, Hallie Brown; and the love of his life Nakitta Blanchard; sisters Tracy Blanchard, Nicole (Tom) Radford; and his brother Mike Blanchard; his grandbabies Khloe Ramirez and Bellamy Ramirez. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews in order by age, Logan Kenney, Brittney (Taner) Sherman, Morgan Radford, Jordan Blanchard, James Blanchard, Saige Blanchard, Olivia Blanchard, and Ayden Blanchard. He is also survived by Diane Emeney and many other Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the family to help cover funeral costs.

Jessie, may you find a brighter road now. I was not very close to you in later years but I know there are many feeling the void created by your passing. Like others are saying, it just doesn’t feel real. My thoughts and prayers are with them that they may find warmth within your memory, the strength to eventually come to terms with your absence in their lives and the resolve to know that there is a time for everyone and that those left behind still have a path to tread in this life. Blessed be, and safe journey. Oh, and, if there’s a rock and roll Heaven, well they’ve gotta have a Hell of a band. Rock out Jesse! Not to make light of the situation, please everyone, just remember to eventually find joy in the years to come.

I didn’t know Jesse super well, but I worked with him at a few places and he was always willing to lend a hand to whoever needed it. When we did have moments to talk, he shared wisdom about everything from tattoos to car motors. I was really sad to hear about his passing, he was genuinely a good man and my heart goes out to all his loved ones.

I hung around Jesse a lot in our younger years, mostly when he was learning to be a dad. It never seemed to be a struggle for him and he loved his daughters so much. Jesse was always a polite man with a great smile. I hope you were greeted by your dad with welcome home arms. RIP Jesse
