Jesse Dwayne Carpenter passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Holy Rosary Extended care.
Jesse was born on June 01, 1955 in Cadillac, Michigan to Louis and Frances Nelson Carpenter.
Jesse attended elementary school in Michigan and graduated from Custer County High school in Miles City, MT. In 1992, Jesse started working at Eastern Montana Industries as a Cardboard Recycling Technician. Rain or shine Jesse could be seen walking all over town carrying his cane. Jesse was never in a hurry and seemed to enjoy a slower pace of life. Jesse was a man of few words but when he spoke you gained insight into his world. Religion was very important to him, and lived his life accordingly. He was truly a man of God and served him every day. He loved to collect religious memorabilia which was evident in his home. Jesse looked forward to his shopping excursions in Billings with his friends. He enjoyed shopping through mail order catalogs, St Vincent de Paul and Wal Mart.
Friends will always remember Jesse as a quiet soul with a kind heart. Jesse’s most endearing quality was his gift of listening to others, but in retrospect, it may have been from him turning off his hearing aide.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Delvin and Jim Carpenter and two sisters Cindy Bruce and Marie Carpenter.
He is survived by several cousins Kim Neibauer (Wayne) of Miles City, Louis Carpenter of Miles City, Tina Emiline (Dwayne) of Miles City, Danny Carpenter (Janette) of Miles City, Dawn Pettibone (Mark) of Miles City, Billy Jo Carpenter of Cadillac, Michigan, Darla Carpenter (AL), Sherri Martz, Kelly Metz (Orliss) Aunt Virginia, uncle Kenneth Bowers (Marion ), Uncle Chris Nelson, grandma Udell . A special thanks to Michele Mickolio, friends, DEAP, and EMI for all that they have done. Jesse will be truly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 3:00 p m at Stevenson & Sons funeral home in Miles City, MT.
