Jessie was born August 27, 1930 in Nemo, South Dakota to Howard and Carrie Mellor. She spent her first 30 years in Broadus, Montana. She was married to Orvie Hough during this time. They had two children Orvie Jr. and Marsha. They separated and she moved to Warden, Washington where she married, Marvin Malcolm, and they lived for 32 years. To this union, they brought two children, Robin and Julia. During this time, she worked as a cook. In 1992, she and Marvin, moved in with Orvie Jr. and Ann and lived in Oregon, Arizona, Utah, where Marvin passed away 2001, California and Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, 2 bothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her sister, Esther Boyles, of Spokane, Washington; her son, Orvie (Ann) Hough Jr., of Wiggins, Mississippi; daughters, Marsha (Rick) Selfridge, of Kennewick Washington, Robin (Steven) Nance, of Cornelius, Oregon, and Julia Malcolm, of Cheney, Washington. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She will be put to rest with her husband Marvin in Forsyth, Montana.
