Jewel Kay Ogle, age 46, of Poplar, Montana died in flight to Minot, North Dakota on January 4, 2009.
Jewel was born on August 11, 1962 to the late Ray Ogle, Sr. and Reba Ogle. Her paternal grandparents were William Bill and Maizie Longee Ogle and her maternal grandparents were Elmer and Mary Two Face Small Red Eagle.
Jewel attended school in Poplar. She worked as a seismographer and at A&S Industries and most recently she was helping with theJournal. She enjoyed craft making, her childrens, grandchildrens and friends visits and playing pool. Jewel loved to listen to and dance to music. She loved watching her children dance at the numerous powwows they attended. Jewel loved visiting with her friends and relatives and she was always helping her mother or anyone else who needed help. She was always happy and laughing and she loved to tease.
She is survived by her children: son, Louis J (Leaona) Ogle and daughter, Lyssa (Oscar) Plante, all of Poplar; brothers, Raymond Abby Ogle, Lloyd Slugger (Willamette) Ogle, all of Poplar, Elmer Andy (Renita) Ogle, of Busby, Montana; sisters, Maizie (Arnold) Youngbird, Mary (Gregory) Plante, Judy (Arnie) Ogle, Shari (Vern) Ogle, all of Poplar; sister, Ronette Red Boy of Wolf Point; grandchildren, Mary and Kristyaona Ogle, Payton River Gray, all of Poplar; special friend, Jolene Buffy Shields of Poplar; numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and grandchildren too numerous to mention; and her dog Mr. Nasty.
Jewel is preceded in death by her father, Ray Ogle, Sr., one brother, Leonard Oscar Ogle, her niece, Whitney Ogle, nephew, Brandon Red Boy and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Wake will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Poplar Cultural Center. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will be at Poplar City Cemetery. A feed will follow interment.
