Mike…It was such a pleasure to have been a small part of Joan’s life. She was fun, nurturing, and took such good care of all the kids who hung out with you and Shawnee. I will always remember her kind and generous heart.

Our deepest sympathy to Joan’s family… Dale’s too.
They were our neighbors and. friends. So many memories of going to Whitney Creek School with Mike & Shawnee, card parties, picnics and just fun times. Joan was a special mom to us all and later a dear friend. She’s at peace now with Dale & Shawnee…. Blessings to all of you.

We have so many great memories of Aunt Joannie. From the care bear baby blankets to the stick animals ( who sews a stick pig? It was the favorite riding animal at our house for years). Aunt Joan’s meals were also favorite memories. Cameron used to call her from Virginia to get her recipe for something he was hungry for. Her house was a destination for our kids when they were growing up. She always had some treat from the freezer for them. One time it was rainbow sherbet but they couldn’t remember the word sherbet so they always asked for “rainbow trout ice cream”. She got such a kick out of that! What a giving woman!
