Joan H Cain, 87, of Miles City passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at Friendship Villa in Miles City. She was born October 26, 1929 in Miles City to Henry and Ella Mae Briant. She attended school in Broadus and graduated from Custer County High School.
Joan enjoyed gardening, cooking (she was a great cook), and having coffee and lunch with her friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Alton, son Pat, her parents, son-in-law Gary Gran, and brother-in-law Buster Pierce.
She is survived by daughters Linda Gran, Joan (John) Lantis, son Daniel, brother Jack (Edna) Briant, and sister Vivian Pierce, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

I grew u[p across the street for Joan and was at their home daily. I will always remember her smile, soft voice and friendly manner. I also did business at Coast to Coast when she worked there on Main street. Heaven has gained a one of a kind Lady, and one of the very best kind as well.
