Joan (Berry) Hill went to sleep in death peacefully on September 1, 2018 at Mountain Valley of Cascadia in Kellogg, Idaho, where she was a resident.
Joan was born on June 24, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio. As a very young child, Joan spent a brief time in WV where both her parents (Clyde Berry and Kathryn Sowder) were from. After Joan’s parents divorced, she moved to WA state with her mother and graduated from high school in the Kelso/Longview area in 1950.
Joan married Carmen L Hill on June 4, 1950 in the Kelso/Longview WA area. Both Carmen and Joan worked for Weyerhaeuser while living there.
Joan and her family moved to MT around 1961, and lived in Glendive, Sidney, Billings, and Forsyth. While living in Billings, Joan worked at Deaconess hospital and Buttreys. She moved to ID in 2015.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Carmen, sons Vernon Hill, Kevin Hill, infant daughter Annette Hill, and great grandsons Elijah Burba and Christopher Hill.
Joan is survived by daughter Carma Wilson (Robert), sons Nathan Hill (Kathy) and Stephen Hill, grandchildren Abraham Hill, Nicholas Hill, Brendon Hill, Jesse Hill (Hannah), Samantha Burba, and Nicole Wilson, and several great grandchildren. Also surviving are brother Phil Pederson (Rosie) and sister Judy Ferguson, both of WA.
Joan was a devout Jehovah’s Witness, and attended meetings at the Kingdom Halls in Forsyth and Coeur d’Alene, where she enjoyed fellowshipping with the congregations.
Joan will be buried next to her husband Carmen in Forsyth..
Memorial services will be held on Oct 1, 2018 at 10:00 am at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth.

Joan never wavered in her love for Jehovah. I miss my times with her over lunch and she was always close by with a helping hand.
