Joan was born on January 4, 1936 north of Terry, MT, the daughter of Roy and Alvina (Martin) Hoagland. She graduated from Terry High School in 1954. Shortly after graduation she married Leonard Wolff. They lived in Terry for several years after marriage, until they moved to baker while Leonard worked in the oil fields. They moved to Miles City in 1967 where they made it their home ever since. Joan was a house wife for several years until she went to work at Holy Rosary Hospital doing laundry from 1978 to 1995 when she retired.
Some of Joan´s enjoyments were crossword puzzles, cross stitching, working in her garden, her home and most of all her children and grandchildren. She was also a wonderful drawing artist.
Joan is survived by her husband Leonard Wolff of Miles City; her mother of Moorehead,MN., her children: Courtney Lynn Wolff(Lori) of West Minister, CO; Gina Ann Wolff of Miles City; Valerie Jo Beretta(John) of Dumont, CO and Troy C. Wolff of Billings, MT; her sisters: Karen Hanson of Denver, CO and Bonnie Meek of St Louis, MO; a brother Gary Hoagland of Moorhead, MN; her grandchildren: James L. Petroff, Rachael J. Brandt (Nick), Daniel E. Petroff(Stephanie) all of Miles City, Courtney L. Wolff Jr. and Jennifer M. Wolff both of Colorado and Adam C Hambsch of Illinois; her great grandchildren: Jayden, Mason, Braden, Bryson, Gracyn, Damon, Peyton, Kryssa, Courtney L. and Conrad L. She was preceded in death by her father, a sister Ann Wolff, and a grandchild Joseph Beretta.
