Our beloved mother Joan M. Redstone went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan 11 at her home in Wolf Point Montana where she was a long time resident.

Joan was born on December 19, 1931 at Ft Yates, ND, to Vernon J. Pereau and Stella (Barse) Pereau, where she attended school and later moved to Poplar, Montana. Joan was an enrolled member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine Sioux tribe, and was a direct descendent of the famous Sioux Chief American Horse.

Joan attended high school in Poplar Montana where she was on the varsity cheerleading squad and graduated in 1950. On October 15, 1956, she married the love of her life Everett Redstone in Wolf Point and they had seven children. She was a devoted homemaker and loved cooking for her family and friends. While raising her family she achieved an Associates Degree in Medical Records from Billings Business College and worked for Ft. Peck Tribal Health.

She loved to take care of her grandchildren and children, enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling and was a wonderful homemaker. She loved to attend her church the LDS and enjoyed attending gospel services.

Joan is survived by two sisters, Alice Harris (Roy) of Wolf Point, and Nancy Williams (Billy D) of Mission, TX, a brother John (Arlyse)Pereau of Billings, her children, Mike Redstone, Jay Redstone, Linda Redstone, Traci Bremner (Lockley) of St Ignatius, Jessie Azure (Marvin) of Poplar, Jackie Bremner (Bill) of Browning, Chad Redstone, and five grandchildren.
