Joe Josserand passed away peacefully on December 29, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. He was 73 years old. Born on July 30, 1949, and raised in San Antonio, Texas, he was the middle child of Thomas and Alice (Michaud) Josserand. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After basic training, he was stationed at Quantico, Virginia. While stationed at Quantico, Joe was set up on a blind date with his future wife of 50 years, Grace Aldrich. Joe and Grace married in 1972, and after Joe was honorably discharged from the Marines, they relocated to Billings, Montana, to start their family. Joe and Grace moved to Colstrip, where they raised their three daughters. Joe was a member of the pipefitters union, and his work took him all over the western United States. He retired from Talen energy in 2012. An avid outdoorsman, Joe loved hunting deer and elk in Custer National Forest and fishing anywhere he could cast a line – but he could most often be found on Tongue River Reservoir or Castle Rock Lake. He was an active member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion.
Joe is survived by his wife Grace, daughters Tana (Brad), Ryan, and Morgan (Kenneth); three grandchildren, Finneus, Emilia, and Myra; brother Frank and sister Sondra. He was preceded in death by his parents.
