John MiltonFlippin, age 81, of Miles City passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2005 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.
John was born on April 7, 2005 on the family ranch north of Cohagen, Montana, the son of John Lee and Christine (Nelson) Flippin. He attended lower Hay Creek Country School through the eighth grade and graduated from Cohagen High School in 1941. He was inducted into the service in 1948 and received a medical discharge shortly after.
John was employed on several ranches throughout his lifetime and also worked as a bartended occasionally. He worked in the Green Thumb program, helping senior citizens in the fuel assistance program. John liked working with wood and restoring antique furniture
John is survived by his sister, HazelMcEldery of Phoenix, AZ; Ruth Robinson of Billings, MT; and Alice (Ervin) Schmidt of Miles City and several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Floyd, and his sisters, Doris Gall and Stella Lempe.
At Johns request, cremation has taken place
and no services are planned. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in
charge of the arrangements.
