John J. Belecky, age 75, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at his home of natural causes.
John J. Belecky was born on April 13, 1930 in Cheyenne, Wyoming the son of John and Rosemary (Benson) Belecky in Cheyenne, Wyoming where he spent his early life. John enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1948-1952. Shortly after his honorable discharge from the Navy he attended the University of Wyoming where he majored in accounting. In June of 1957 he married Georgia Bragg in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They made their first home in St. Helens, Oregon. The couple had two children, Craig and Teri. After several years in Oregon the family moved back to Wyoming where they made their home in Cheyenne, Laramie and then Gillette. Johns employment was primarily in the health care field and was employed by several hospitals in Wyoming. His hobbies were camping, fishing and gardening. John was a wonderful husband, father and grandpa to hos grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
John is survived by his wife Georgia Belecky of Gillette, Wyoming; son, Craig (Jill) of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter, Teri Adams of Carmel, Indiana; brother, Robert (Jo) of Denver, Colorado and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
There will be a graveside service for immediate family and close friends, Pastor Marty Crump of the Family Life Church will officiate the ceremony on Friday, May 6, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Boys Town in Johns name.
