John HenryKohone's, age 78, of Miles City passed away on Friday, June 9, 2006 at his home south of Miles City at the family ranch.
John was born on June 24, 1927 in Miles City, Montana, the son of Kapiton and Minnie (Bellouse)Kohone's. He attended Denny country school, near the family ranch and also attended Custer County District High School. Following high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. John returned back to the family ranch where he ranched until the time of his death. John had a special love for his animals and farming. He especially loved working with the cattle and traveling into Miles City on sale day.
John is survived by his brothers; OrvellKohone's of the family ranch, and George Kohone's of Miles City; one sister; Rose (Evert) Hoffman of Seattle Washington and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his brother Joe Kohone's,sister Christine (Elmer) Gilbertson, and one nephew Delmer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12, 2006 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will be held at the Custer County Cemetery.
