Everett and family – we were so sorry to hear about John’s passing. He was a good man and we will always be thankful to him for his friendship and mentorship when we moved to the area and I began teaching at Rosebud. Our thoughts are with you and we are here if there is anything you need.

Everett, I haven’t been to Rosebud for awhile and have not seen your Dad. He was such a good friend to Verlin while they taught in Rosebud and especially after John retired. We shared lots of gardening tricks and even some building helps when John was remodeling his house. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

That’s soo sad 😢 hope there will be a funeral for him so I can go to it. I always enjoyed him coming into the cafe n having coffee everyday and eating he always would tell me that most of the time the only reason he would come in is to just see me cuz he liked seeing me. I’m going to miss him so much I told him the last time I went n stoops n visited him in the nursing home he was in the middle of eating supper so I did stay very long but I told him that I told the nursing home worker lady that showed me to his room when I visited him the first time so I didn’t no where his room was that but anyways the lady asked me who I was there to see/visit and I said John long n she’s like ok may I ask are you a family member or something to him and I said no let’s just say he is my OLD MAN BOYFRIEND lol n she’s like oh so I think she really believed that but I told John that I said that to the lady and he’s like no u didn’t I’m like yep I really did lol I loved long John you will be missed😘 ik he took a picture of me one time and had it printed off and hung it up right next to the chair he always sat in.
