Interment: will be in Poplar City Cemetery
Johnny Fred Damon, 46, went home to Jesus on March 19, 2004, after a lengthy illness in Bismarck, ND. He was born January 21, 1958 in San Jose, CA to the late Ramona Keiser Fitz-Simmons and Celestice H. Damon, Sr. Johnny lived in
California in his younger years and after graduation he joined the service. He was honorably discharged from the Army in February 1979. After his discharge he worked for the Sante Fe Water Works Dept. as a surveyor before moving to wolf Point. He later moved to Poplar to be with his soul mate and love of his life, Marian Montclair, who took care of him up until his abrupt untimely death. Johnny was a very talented man. He loved Jesus, liked to fish, surf, mountain climbing, running, camping, hunting, listening to his music and reading his bible. Despite an accident in August 1981 that left him paralyzed, he did all sorts of arts, crafts, beadwork, paintings, and his pride and joy, jewelry boxes. He was always making something with his hands and always had a good attitude about life in general. Johns death is a shock to us and will be missed dearly by all who loved him.
He is survived by his father and step-mother of Oregon, his wife and best friend, Marian Montclair; daughter, Leeann Damon (Josh Lien) of Wolf Point; grandson, James Archer Lien; brothers, Bruce Damon of Wolf Point and Celestice Damon, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; nephew Cubby Damon; 2 nieces; uncles Donald Green, Sr. of Hayward, CA; George Keiser of Sedona, AZ and Bob Martin of WA; Aunt Margie Chandler of Hays, MT; many cousins and his 2 favorite dogs in the world mangy guy and big fat bubba. He also leaves behind 4 stepsons, Louis Montclair of Missoula; Silas, John and Thomas Montclair of Poplar.
