Funeral services: Friday, December 16, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.
Interment: will follow in the family lot of the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City.
Johnny Lopez, age 56, of Federal Way, Washington, formerly of Miles City passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2005.
Johnny was born on September 24th, 1949, in the family home, in Rosebud, Montana. He was born to Carmen Lopez Sr. andAmalia Lopez (Pabolo). John had 9 brothers, and sisters. Marcie (Faulhaber), Carmen Jr. (deceased as an infant),Fideles (deceased), Augie, Gloria (Kinzel), Zeniada (Gerber) Carmen Jr (deceased) Trish, and Annie (Holmes). John grew up, and attended school in the Rosebud area. He attended Carterville Elementary, and spent his high school years at Rosebud High School. He became involved in basketball, and football, and played as a forward, and quarterback for his team. His love for sports continued into his adult life. He met Bonnie Kranzler and they were married April 5th, 1972. John made a home with Bonnie, and her daughter Dawn, until September 14th, 1973, when they were blessed with another daughter, Michelle, now deceased. The four of them made their homes, in Miles City, and Billings for the next 20 years. John worked for several years as an operating engineer, and as a laborer, for construction companies in the area. He spent the last working years of his life at the V.A. medical center, working in building maintenance. He retired in 1994. John lived in the Seattle area from 1996 until now. John is preceded in death by both parents, brother Fideles, brother, Carmen Jr. and his daughter Michelle.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City. Condolences may be made to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com.
