Joseph Jackson Anketell Kills On Top was born on September 4th, 1991 at the Trinity Hospital in Wolf Point Montana, To Troy Kills On Top Sr and Candace Elk Shoulders of Busby, Montana. Grand Parents are Julie Elk Shoulder, Claudine Little Wolf and Gloria Waters, Mark Elk Shoulder, Andy Elk Shoulder, Eugene Elk Shoulder
Joseph Jackson 31 years of age made his journey to the Spirit World on February 21, 2022, Eight months after losing his brother Chad. Joseph’s Cheyenne’s name was “Vooheve” Morning Star was given by his grandfather.
Joseph attended Wolf Point Elementary School and graduated from Hardin High School in 2009. He began college at MSU Billings in Business Administration. In attendance he became the president of the American Indian Business Leader’s club. One of the highlights of his college career was leading the club placing 1st place in the Nation at the National AIBL at the conference in 2014. Joseph was a very quiet and humble man but he could not contain his excitement and was pleased at winning the prize at National conference with his group when they created the product of a natural hand cream with natural ingredients.
Joseph worked a variety of jobs, most recently as a security guard at the IHS in Lame Deer, Montana. Joseph always made sure he was helping others and not thanking of himself. He also really loved his nieces and nephews especially niece Alaia Elk Shoulder. Joseph spent a lot of time with his cousins and had a sense of humor. He recently moved to Billings with his mom Candace and planning his next chapter of life.
Joseph’s siblings include Jonathan Anketell, Presley (Ian) Bracken, Jeffery (Suntaya) Elk Shoulder, Cameron Elk Shoulder, Joseph (Brittany) Chavis, Autumn (Cody) Matney, Troy Kills On Top Jr.
Aunts include Meredith (Rob) McConnell Sr., Victoria Elk Shoulder, Verda King, Evaleen Brave Heart and Jenny Kills On Top. Uncles Leonard (Deb) Elk Shoulder Jr, Curtis Elk Shoulder Sr., John Elk Shoulder, Mike Elk Shoulder and Bob Brave Heart as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
Preceded in death are Leonard Elk Shoulder Sr., Harold Kills On Top, Elva Russell, his brother Chad and sister Cheyney Elk Shoulder.
Our families are Kings, Elk Shoulders, Rising Suns, Little Wolf, Russell if we forgot anyone please accept our sincere apology.
