In Loving Memory of Joseph A Kerzmann
July 22, 1942 – January 13, 2025
Joseph Arthur Kerzmann entered into the Lords hands on January 13, 2025, peacefully at home.
Joe was born July 22, 1942 in Garrison, ND to Joseph and Evelyn (Allers) Kerzmann. He met the love of his life Theresia Fredrickson. They were married on May 31, 1963, and lived south of Garrison, raising their six children.
Joe’s careers were Wretling Chevrolet for many years as a mechanic, Western Horizons as Laborer/Operator at Coteau Mine for 25 plus years. Joe enjoyed doing yard work, teaching his young Grandsons how to run all the yard equipment. He loved spending time with his family, going camping, fishing, teaching his Grandchildren all he knew. He was a hard-working man, devoted husband and provider for his family. Joe enjoyed his travelling for the last couple of years as he was able to go.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife Theresia Kerzmann; Grandchildren, Joshua Koelzer, Whitney Koelzer, Jonathan Lehfeldt; Parents, Joseph and Evelyn Kerzmann; Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law, Walter and Gertrude Fredrickson; Brothers, Roger Kerzmann, Terry Kerzmann; Sister-In-Laws, Irene Munz and Agnes Fredrickson; Brother-In-Laws, Louie Munz, and James Marbut.
Joe is survived by his Daughter Paula (Pete) Jensen, Bismarck; Son Joseph (Karri) Kerzmann, Colstrip MT; Daughters Lonna (Paul) Folden, Garrison ND, Michelle (William) Bader, Garrison ND, Kris (John) Behles, Colstrip MT, Tanya (Benjamin) Lehfeldt, Fargo ND; 23 Grandchildren Daniel Nick Nina Dereck Kaylee Tanner Danielle Katie Ashley Courtney Brittany Jacob Dustin Eric Tina Tyler Christopher Zachary Atlanta Haleigh Shyann Karsen Madilynn; 34 Great Grandchildren with one on the way. Brother Steve (Cindy) Kerzmann, Sisters Marlene (Richard) Batka, Judy (Bud) Kemp, Susie (LeRoy) Bohrer; Brother-In-Laws Walt (Shirlene) Fredrickson, Larry (Elaine) Fredrickson, Leonard Fredrickson, Henry (Arlona) Fredrickson; Sister-In-Law, Linda Fredrickson Morris. Lots of nieces, nephews and cousins.

We enjoyed the short time we had Joe. He never gave up when John, Kris Andy and I would all go to the mountains in the side x sides, he always had a smile on. Your at peace now. Going to miss your smiling face. It was a honor to know you. Rest in peace
