Interment: will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette

Funeral service for Joseph Joe Laster of Gillette, Wyoming will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2005, at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette with Kenna Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2004 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.

Joseph Laster died Monday, February 21, 2005 in Campbell County, near Savageton, Wyoming of work related injuries.

Joseph Kenneth Laster was born July 25, 1978, in Sacramento, California, the son of Raymond Kenneth and Peggy (Atherton) Laster of Gillette, Wyoming. Joseph came to Gillette when he was one year old. He then resided in many western states, moving with his family because of his fathers occupation in construction. His family returned to Gillette when he was 13 years old. Joseph attended school in Gillette and later earned his GED. He worked with his father in construction erecting drywall for 7 years. He then went to work in the methane fields. Joseph was a certified Fire Fighter in Forestry trained to fight Wyoming wild fires and also an electricians apprentice.

Joseph enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, billiards, and working on cars.

Joseph is survived by his daughter Brittany Dawn Laster of Gillette, Wyoming; parents Raymond Ken and Peggy (Atherton) Laster of Gillette, Wyoming; sisters Kathryn Silverthorne of Belleview, Washington; Amanda (Justin) Carter of Gillette, Wyoming; Linda Laster of Sheridan, Wyoming and Lorraine Laster of Gillette, Wyoming; niece Jazmyn Carter and nephew Jakob Carter both of Gillette, Wyoming; grandmother Olive Atherton of Rock Springs, Wyoming and many aunts and uncles.

A memorial has been established in Joes name. Donations and condolences may be sent in care of the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or via the internet atwww.stevensonandsons.com.
