Funeral Mass: Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2005 at 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart Church in Miles City.
Rite Of Committal: Eastern Montana Veterans Cemetery with full military rites provided by Post #1579 Honor Guard of Miles City.
Joseph JoeVolz, age 68, of Miles City passed away at the Holy Rosary Hospital on April 15, 2005.
Joe was born onJune 5, 1936 in Wishek, ND to Rudolph and Clara (Masseth)Volz. Joe enlisted in the United States Army in 1954, at the age of 17, where he proudly served for 7 years. A few years later, Joe reenlisted in the Marine Corp, serving for 15 years. He and JudyGrahm were married on July 24, 1981 in Las Vegas and they returned home to retire in Miles City in 1988 where they have lived since.Joe was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion of Baker. He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends and serving on the Firing Squad for the V.F.W.
Joe is survived by his wife Judy of Miles city, step-sons; James Morris of Las Vegas, NV and Jake L. Morris of PA, brothers Nick (Betty) Volz of Baker, MT, Jake (Frieda) Volz of Miles City, MT and Matt (Darlene) Volz of Billings, MT, two sisters; Helen Murray of Billings, MT and Eva McCabe of Miles City, MT and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.
