Juan (Joe) Costilla Sr

Wake Service: Thursday October 5, 2006 at Juans home in Lame Deer and a wake service will be held Friday October 6, 2006 at the Lame Deer Mormon Church

Funeral Service: Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 11:00AM at the LDS Church in Lame Deer

Juan (Joe) J. Costilla Sr. was born on September 13, 1957 to Margarito Costilla and Santos Perez.

Juan married Ruth Standingwater on October 5, 1982 and had 6 children Joanna (James Fisher Sr.) Jessica, James (Lynette) Janae (Bryce Lonewolf Sr.) Jeneva and Juan Jr..Juan had 4 grandchildren Madeline Rose Costilla, Anthony Joe Costilla, James Posey Fisher Jr. and Bryce James Lonewolf Jr.. Juan had 3 sons, Michael Costilla of Texas, Rocky of Texas, Dennis Killsnight of Lame Deer; 3 sisters, Maria Olga (Michael) Smith of Texas, Janie Garcia (Forrest) of California, Teresa(Segundo V) Costilla of Texas; two brothers, Rick(Rosalinda)Costilla of Oklahoma, Steven (Angela) Costilla of Arkansas and numerous nieces and nephews from Oklahoma, Texas and California.Adopted family, Walter Blackwolf, Lonnie Littlebird, Wendeline (Lawrence) Neiss, Leanne Littlebear, Lucina Burns, Arlene Rogers, Jamie (Melton) Whiteman, Audrey (Oliver) Haugen, Logan Curley Sr., Tex Curley, Billford Curley, Mary Ann Fisher, Lloyd Littlebird and Edwin Whiteman, Melanie (Charlie) Charette, Lee (Mary) Oldbear.Juan (Joe)& Ruth moved to Lame Deer, MT in May of 1989.

Joes favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, camping so they made their home in Lame Deer. Juan became a member of LDS church in 1990. He was a member of the Swift Fox Society.Joe was a volunteer for the Lame Deer Fire Dept. from 1993 2002. Joe had various jobs with the NC Housekeeping, NC Security, NC Transportation, St. Labre Indian School, and Lame Deer Public School.

Juan had a big heart and helped anyone who needed it and will be dearly missed.

Juan was preceded in death by his father, Margarito Costilla, one sister Irma Costilla, two brothers, Albert Costilla and Luis Costilla, Two Stepsons Elton and Bruce Seven Star.

A wake service will be held Thursday October 5, 2006 at Juans home in Lame Deer and a wake service will be held Friday October 6, 2006 at the Lame Deer Mormon Church.Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 11:00AM at the LDS Church in Lame Deer.Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home.
