Judith P. Gaub, age 62, of Fallon, MT, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2005, after a brave two and a half year battle with cancer. Her loving family was at her side. We are happy she is now at peace and that her long struggle is over.
Judith was born in Klamath Falls, OR on November 14, 1942, to F.E. "Earl" and Lee (Owens) Parker. She was the second of two children. They moved to the farm west of Terry in the Zero Community in 1954. She graduated from Terry High School in 1960 and attended Miles Community College. She married Harold Gaub on September 30, 1961, at the Presbyterian Community Church in Terry. She joined Harold on the family farm where she resided until the time of her death.
Judith loved her family with a passion and was a very devoted mother and wife. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren at the farm. She made many trips to Washington to see family that lived further away. Judith was multi-talented and she enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and sewing and she had plenty of advice on these topics. Judy excelled in restoring antique furniture and designing clothing, as well as, quilted items. She was very active in the Fallon Homemakers, Cowbelles, woodworking classes and her quilting group.
Judith is survived by her husband, Harold of Fallon; four children: Ty (Monica) Gaub of Orting, WA; Coleen (Jim) Garza of Miles City, MT; Sarita (Hans) Breivik of Auburn, WA; and Noel (Jay) Gruba of Miles City, MT; one brother, Bob (Darla) Parker of Miles City, MT; and grandchildren: Leoni, Alexis, Allyson, and Emily Gaub; Kody and Daniel Garza, and Elizabeth Gruba; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl, in 1988 and Mother, Lee in 1996.
Judith was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Prairie County Museum or to the charity of one's choice.
