Judith Judy Brown

Prayer Service: 7 p.m. Monday, April 18 at the Assembly of God Church in Poplar, MT

Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19 at the Assembly of God Church in Poplar, MT

Interment: will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery.

Judith Judy Greufe Brown, 59, beloved daughter, grandma, auntie, sister, and cousin, of Poplar went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 12,2011.

Judy was the oldest of three daughters and was born on November 3, 1951 to Harry & Myrna (Archdale) Greufe in Poplar, MT. Judy attended the Poplar schools and graduated in 1970. She took college courses at Haskell Junior College and Fort Peck Community College. She worked in various secretarial positions for the Fort Peck Tribes, A&S Industries, and the Poplar Middle School Library. Judy also was a senior citizens home health aide for West Mont and a CNA at Trinity Hospital.She married Tom Baker of South Dakota and together they had a son and daughter, Royce and Sherry Jean Baker. She later divorced Tom and married Jim Craft of Missoula. To this union they had a son, Eric Craft. She later divorced Jim and married the light of her life Richie Brown of Poplar. They settled in Poplar until Richies death in 1995.Judy enjoyed reading her bible, visiting with friends and relatives, and cruising with her sons. She loved spending time with her grandchildren Anthony and Joslynn. She also loved watching and hearing the word of God all her life. She was a prayer warrior for anyone who needed prayer and loved talking and sharing of all the blessings God bestowed on her and her friends and family.

Judy is survived by her parents Harry & Myrna of Poplar, sisters Suzanne (Courtney) Smith of Lewiston, ID, Feryl (John) Grainger of Helena, MT, grandson, Anthony Baker of Rapid City, SD, and granddaughter Joslynn and daughter-in-law Mary Strauser Baker of Missoula, MT, nephews, Orin & James Alexander of Poplar & Box Elder, MT, Ryan Alexander of Clarkston, WA, niece Rose Alexander of Moscow, ID, nephews Luke Bighorn of Helena, MT, John Daniel (Arin) Grainger of Poplar, and niece Lainie Grainger of Missoula, MT, cousins Butch Bear, Anita (Clyde Bauer), Linda (John Atchico), and Kathleen Ventura, all of Poplar and their families. She is also survived by aunts Mary McEneanney and Leona (Howard) and family, uncle Bernard Greufe, cousins Kathy Lynch, Mike McEneanney and John McEneanney.

She was preceded in death by her children, Sherry Lynn Baker, Royce Baker, and Eric Craft. Husband Warren Richie Brown, grandparents Jim & Rose Archdale, and John & Julia Greufe, aunt and uncle Evelyn and Joe Red Thunder, aunt Susan Warrior, cousin Carol Jean Red Thunder, uncles Ralph, Wilfred and George Greufe and uncle and aunt Walter and Hazel Greufe. She was also preceded by her dear friends Faith Rising Sun, Margie Christian, and Marie summers.

Family viewing will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, at the Assembly of God Church in Poplar. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, at 2:00 pm. at the Assembly of God church in Poplar. Internment will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery.Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
