Julia Butcher, age 50, of Miles City passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at her home in Miles City.
Julia was born in Fort Carson, Colorado on June 25, 1956, the daughter of Bruce L. and Eva Valetta (McKnight) Westling. She attended grade school in Manhattan, Kansas and then moved to Maryland where she graduated from South Carroll High School in Winfield, Maryland. After her schooling, she began working various jobs as a Security guard and waitress. She remained on the east until 1995 when she moved to Miles City. Julia worked at County Market and took some college courses at Miles Community College.
Julia enjoyed fishing, rock hunting, drawing, spending time with her family and especially loved time spent with her grandchildren. Julia will always be remembered for her kind and giving heart.
Julia is survived by her father, Bruce Westling of Woodbine, MD; her daughter, Terra (Dennis Sorrentino) Evans of Miles City, MT; three grandchildren: Kori Haines, Jarrod Sorrentino, Caleb Sorrentino; an aunt, Gloria Westling, Two sisters: Linda Mielke and Charlotte Collins and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will be held at a later date.
