Julie Martell Azure, age 49, of Havre MT, went to be with the lord on October 23, 2003, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Julie was born January 12, 1954, in Mason City, Iowa to Julian and Ruth Martell. Julie enjoyed fishing, camping, crossword puzzles, reading and writing poetry. Julie fulfilled her life dream of seeing the ocean in 2002. The last four years of her life was spent vacationing and spending time with her family. Julie was employed at hill view apartments, in Havre Montana, as an assistant manager for the past eight years. She worked along side her husband whom she loved very much.

She Marred Robert Azure SR. on October 17, 1974. From this marriage they had two children, Kaycee (Rick SR.) Clark and Robert (Stacie) Azure Jr. Also eight grandchildren, Joey, Ricky, Zavier, Tshauna, Tyler, Korbin, Hailey, and Hermoinee, all of Havre, Montana.

She is also survived by a sister Nancy (George) Martell, Brothers, Charles (Lila) Martell, Robert (Serena) Martell all of Wolf Point and William (Marilyn) Smith of Iowa. Many nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own children. Also, Her Mother-in-law, Bonnie Nelson whom she grew very fond of and became very good friends with. Brother-in-laws, Ervin (Norma) Azure, Curtis (Colleen) Azure, Melvin (Peggy) Azure, Craig (Sandi) Azure and Michael Nelson, all of Wolf Point Montana. Sister-in-laws Brenda (Alex) Calder, Paula (Dennis) Welch, Cindy (Jimmy) Welch, and Julie Azure all of Wolf Point Montana.

Her parents, a sister Valeta Burt and a niece Carmen Martell, preceded her in death.

Adopted family, Nathan and Polly Estell and (child), Amber and Abbigail all of Lincoln, Nebraska. Also her Best Friend daisy Sherman, of Havre Montana.

Visitation Services will be from 1:00 to 6:00 pm Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel with Prayer Services beginning at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 30,2003 at 10:00 am at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ken Azure officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
