Junior Simons (Alvin Eagle, Jr.), age 38, of Poplar, Montana, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at Billings Deaconess Hospital after a brief illness.
Alvin was born in Poplar on October, 11, 1968, to Charlotte Caulder and Alvin Eagle, Sr. He was raised by his foster parents, Mary Gonzales and Jim Simons. Junior loved to fish, hunt and just hang out with family and friends. Alvin was well-liked by those who knew him. He loved a good joke and shared many laughs. He was always doing odd jobs (painting, mowing or raking lawns) or helping his dad around the house or helping his brothers or a friend with their projects. He took a lot of pride in the work he did. Junior will be missed by many.
Alvin (Junior) is survived by his special friend, Dinah Diserly of Poplar; his foster parents, Mary Gonzales of Columbus, MT, and Jim (Mary Lou) Simons of Poplar; two sisters, Tanya Eagle and Robin White Hawk of Wolf Point, MT; four brothers, Jimmy (Joyce) Simons and Dennis (Farrel) Simons both of Poplar, Marvin White Hawk of Billings, MT and Warren Luke White Hawk of Wyoming; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Eagle, Sr. and Charlotte Caulder, two brothers Duane White Hawk and Phillip John RedBoy and two sisters, Rocky and Charlene White Hawk.
Family and friends may call Saturday, June 30 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 2, 2007 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Poplar at 1 p.m. Private family inurnment will follow at a later date.
