In Memory Of

Kamden McArthur, age 17, of Miles City.

March 12, 2008 – October 14, 2025

We lovingly remember and honor Kamden Charles McArthur (commonly referred to as Kam, Kammy or Chum Chum), age 17, from Colstrip, Montana took his life Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Kamden was born in Miles City, Montana on March 12, 2008. He grew up and attended schools in Colstrip including the Pine Butte Elementary School then was promoted in 2019 to Frank Brattin Middle School which he attended until 2022. He finished his freshmen year in 2023 at Custer County High School in Miles City, deciding school was not the best fit for him, he pursued family, friendships and dirt bikes. He worked at the family restaurant, June’s Bungalow from 2023 to 2025. Kamden found a best friend in his dog Kush who was just as energetic and full of life as Kam. His aspiration was to begin a career on the oilrigs, eventually working toward becoming a skilled tradesman such as a mechanic or electrician. He was trying to achieve a GED and driver’s license.

Kamden lived his life to the fullest. To know Kamden was to love Kam, everyone adored him. If you didn’t know Kam, you were missing out, he impacted hearts. Kamden’s heart and love was endless, his presence was felt by all. He was a jokester, so silly and hilarious. He knew how to make people laugh uncontrollably. Kam was unapologetically himself. He would bust out in dance and song. The louder the music the better, he always had headphones on or a speaker with him. Kamden wanted no one to be alone, hurt, sad, or suffering nor did he want to be alone. Kamden’s smile was contagious; it made others smile and brightened the room. Kam had a beautiful, pure soul, he cared for others more than he cared about himself, he would give the clothes off his back to help others showing the compassion he possessed. He was so kind and sweet. Kam’s primary passion was motorcross. He rebuilt and repaired his bikes, learning effortlessly and relentlessly. Kam enjoyed lifting, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.

Kam is survived by his mother, Blythe Anne McArthur, his brother Maki Mykel McArthur and his sister Mylee Nora McArthur, his grandparents June and Mike Esser, his uncles: Dalton and Ethan Esser, his aunt Vanessa Esser, his cousins: Xavier and Castiel Esser, Teigan and Violet Jones, and his father Kelly McArthur. He was preceded in death by his aunt Nikki Esser and his grandpa Kelly McArthur Sr.
