Daughter of Martha and Chris LaRance, Karen was an immensely loved grandma, auntie, sister, and mother. Her grand kids were the center of her world and she always showed love and affection to all her family near and far. She was a hard-working office manager during her days at housing and Busby School. She enjoyed her sports, watching her son, Jalen, and daughter, Lisa play basketball. She was always one of the most enthusiastic cheerleader for her family and friends during any sporting event. During her leisure time she enjoyed beading, enjoying a good, scary movie, softball, and crossword puzzles. Her presence always brought a sense of security and comfort when she was around. Her laughter was memorable and will be missed at family gatherings and among her friends. She also was a breast cancer survivor. She was an awesome friend to many. Everywhere she went she was always greeted by her many friends. So many memories of her it would take days to tell them. Thank you to St. Vincent’s health care workers for assisting our sister and mother.
Karen is survived by her children: Tristan LaRance, Lisa (Clayton) Mason, Levi Pretty On Top, and Jalen LaRance. Sisters: Rachel LaRance, Esther LaRance, Tia LaRance, brothers: David LaRance, Kash LaRance, Josef LaRance. Cousins: Myrna (Chris) Rochelle, Cleve McManus, LaForce Siouxcalf, Sixx (Big Sonny) Lebeaux, Addie (Gail) Baker. Danny and Sonny Carlson, Anita LaRance, Kathy LaRance, Christine Starr, Sharron Star, Charleen Star, Collen (Ronnie) Spang, and Holly Bixby. Nephews: Gabriel Hart. Chris (Lashon) Rising Sun, Paxton LaRance, Adbel Russell, Bradley (Thea), Caleb Hiwalking, and Jeremiah Woodenlegs. Nieces: Josie (Ryan) Rising Sun, Diandra Standing Elk, Halle (Antoine) Standing Elk, Krystal LaRance, Nancy Washington, Rhea Russell, Brittney Solios, Latoya, Silver Siouxcalf, Beaux Siouxcalf, Leslie Depreu. Grandkids: Kaden, Kaleb, Kao, Clayton Jr., Mackenzie LaRance, Keri Lynn Rising Sun, Pierre Rising Sun, Lalasa Rising Sun, Luis Agosto-Rising Sun, Shaughnessy Standing Elk, Celeste, Ezelyn, Kingston, Josie Hart, Draven Hart, Tyren Hart, Shantel Hart, Dillion Bear.
