Kathie Elaine Benjamin age 63 passed away July 25, 2016 at Saint Vincent Hospital with her family by her side.
Kathie was born on July 24, 1953 in Buffalo WY, the daughter of Francis and Irene Joubert. She grew up and attended schools in Buffalo. Kathie met Kelsey (Jake) Kipf waiting tables in Buffalo WY. They were married December 24, 1969 and from this union they had 3 girls Shanna, Kelly and Kerry. Kathie then met Arnold (Arnie) Benjamin in Miles City and later married on September 29, 1984 and their family of 3 girls grew with Arnie’s 2 children Jody and Chad.
Kathie enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. She especially enjoyed training races horses with Arnie and loved when it was time to hit the racing circuit in Montana with the family in tow. Kathy was very fond of her 2 favorite race horses Flag Watcher and Kassie’s Baby. Kathie and Arnie met many new people and enjoyed her family and friends of the racing circuit. Kathie and Arnie always enjoyed their hunting trips to the mountains and the hunting camp with Wilbur, June and Hobie Phillips and Scotty Powell. Kathie also enjoyed bowling with her daughter Shanna and went to Bowling Tournaments with Shanna and they always tried to out bowl each other. Kathie also enjoyed the many family BBQ’s out at the Ranch at Moon Creek when everyone would come and have fun. Kathie also enjoyed having her grandkids and great grandkids to keep her company at the ranch.
Kathie is survived by her daughter Shanna (Dave) of Rosebud MT and her children Megan, Nelson and Charlee, daughter Kelly (Joey) of Roseville CA, and her children Brianna, Eric and Summer, and daughter Kerry (Scott) of Shepard MT and their children Taeler, Jordan, and Brody. Jody of Billings MT and her children Colt and Chancy and son Chad of Wolf Point and his children Brianna, Brady and Braden. Kathie had 2 great grandchildren Graysen and Kale. She is also survived by her 2 sisters Vyonne and Linda and her 2 brothers Daryll and Larry. She is preceded in Death by her parents, Jake, Sister Gloria and her husband Dean and her beloved husband Arnie.
Celebration of life will be held at the Stevenson & Sons Funeral home on August 20, 2016 at 1:30 pm. Burial will take place at the ranch at moon creek at a later date next to Arnie.
Should friends desire memorial may be made to the charity of one choice.

There are no words to describe the loss of such a beautiful soul. I have many many wonderful memories of Kathy and Arnie both. I am so grateful I got to see her at Arnies memorial race in Great Falls. Now she is with him and they get to go together to the races again. May their families be at peace knowing they are together and watching over them and may God hold you in the palm of his hand until we meet again.
